The Alaska State Firefighters Association would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Alaska State Troopers family and the families of Pilot Nading, Trooper Toll and Mr. Ober. The loss of your loved ones has resonated across our state and we extend to you our heartfelt sympathy and support.

Our spring board of directors meeting was held in Anchorage on March 16th. Some of the key points discussed were the formulation of joint conference planning committee which will include representation from ASFA, AFCA, the Fire Standards Council, the Training and Education Bureau and members from the current host and the next scheduled host chapters. The board also approved the addition of a non-voting representative from the State Fire Marshals Office to our board.
