Robert serves as the Fire Captain of the Sitka Fire Department and currently holds Firefighter-I, EMT-I, Fire Service Instructor and CPR/First-aid Instructor. Robert has been a member of the Alaska State Firefighters Association since 1997.
Robert began in the fire service in 1997 with the Sitka Volunteer Fire Department; in 2000 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, in 2005 he was promoted to Fire Captain. Robert was presented the Alaska State Firefighter of the year award in 2001 in Petersburg.
Robert has been active with the Alaska State Firefighters Association Board of Directors since 2002 and represented the Baranof Chapter since 2001. Robert is currently a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge in Sitka. Robert enjoys spending time trout fishing when the opportunity presents itself.
Robert have been employed by the City of Sitka Electric Department since March 2002; his position with the city is as a relay control technician.
