Dave Miller

Dave started his Alaskan firefighting experience by joining the Sitka Volunteer Fire Department in 1988 and has been involved since that time. He started as a volunteer firefighter and eventually moved up to become Chief.

Dave works for the Sitka Police Department as a correctional officer. Dave is currently the Chief of the Sitka Fire Department. In the National Volunteer Fire Council he is the alternate director for the ASFA.

Dave has two sons Travis and Micah who both live in Sitka. Travis is a volunteer FF/EMT with the SVFD.

The President shall be chief executive officer of the association, shall be responsible to supervise and coordinate association activities, preside over themeetings of the association and of the Board of Directors and shall see that the Financial Administrator keeps a record book of all transactions and correspondence.
