Emilie grew up fishing in Petersburg and chose to return to her hometown after attending college in Seattle. She joined the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department in January of 2001, and was promoted to Fire Lieutenant in November of 2003. Emilie is a state certified FFI, recently received her state certificate for MOI, and was (when she had more time) an ETT and part of the Petersburg EMS. Emilie works seasonally in residential construction and on the charter boat Alaska Adventurer where she is alternates between first mate and chef. She enjoys cooking and entertaining as well as spending time in the outdoors. She also is an avid amateur photographer and enjoys drawing and painting when she feels the inspiration.
