2010 Polar Bear Splash-In
March 6, 2010 - The Port of Valdez and Alyeska Marine Terminal chapters joint fundraiser, the Polar Bear Splash-in, brought in over $6,600 to the splash-in account. The monies are used for educational scholarships, school eye glass program, smoke detectors for new parents and other community projects.
March 10, 2010 - The Port of Valdez and Alyeska Marine Terminal chapters received $535 in employee matching funds from Alyeska Pipeline Service Company for the 2009 Splash-In. The monies were allocated as directed in the donation - $100 to the Alaska State Firefighter Association General Fund and $435 to the Splash-In Account.
May 28, 2010 - The Splash-In college scholarship winners are as follows:
Colbi Hill - $1,000
Kelsey Lematta - $750
Brett Wells - $500
Alexandra Wegner - $300
Marie Koscielski - $250
June 1, 2010 - The chapters received $370 for the 2010 Splash-In fundraiser through the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company's employee matching fund program.
